1. About These Terms

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the House of Pegs website at houseofpegs.com (the “Site”) and any purchases you make from us. House of Pegs is a trading name of The Barkworth & Hathaway Collection.

By placing an order on the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Site.

2. Products and Pricing

All product descriptions, images, and specifications on the Site are provided for general information purposes and are as accurate as possible. We reserve the right to update product information at any time without prior notice.

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable UK rate. Delivery charges, where applicable, are displayed separately before you complete your purchase.

We make every effort to ensure pricing accuracy. In the unlikely event of a pricing error, we will contact you before processing your order and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel.

3. Placing an Order

When you place an order on the Site, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected. Your order constitutes a legally binding offer once submitted.

We will send you an order confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch the products to you and send a dispatch confirmation email.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to: product availability, suspected fraudulent activity, or pricing errors. If we cancel your order, we will issue a full refund.

4. Payment

Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of purchase. We accept major credit and debit cards. All payment information is encrypted and processed in accordance with PCI DSS standards. We do not store your payment card details on our servers.

By providing payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method and that the information provided is accurate.

5. Delivery

We deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom only. Orders are fulfilled through Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) and dispatched within 1–2 business days.

Standard delivery takes 3–5 business days. Delivery is free on orders over £25. A flat delivery fee of £3.95 applies to orders under £25.

Estimated delivery times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to courier delays, adverse weather, or industrial action.

Risk of loss and damage passes to you upon delivery to the address specified in your order. If your order has not arrived within the estimated timeframe, please contact us and we will investigate.

6. Returns and Refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving any reason.

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 30-day returns policy. You may return any unused item in its original packaging within 30 days of receipt for a full refund of the product price.

To initiate a return, please contact us at hello@houseofpegs.com with your order number and reason for return. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned item.

7. Faulty or Damaged Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If your order arrives damaged or contains a faulty product, please contact us within 30 days at hello@houseofpegs.com with a photograph of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or full refund including return postage.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, product names, and design elements — is the property of The Barkworth & Hathaway Collection or its licensors and is protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

“House of Pegs” and “The Barkworth & Hathaway Collection” are registered trademarks. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content from the Site without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or purchase of our products.

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that order.

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, industrial disputes, failure of third-party services, or disruption to postal or courier services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
